I saw a bag of rocks for sale at a shop, and they weren't unique or fancy if that matters - just ordinary rocks that are everywhere. I inspected the ten-pack, $7 bag because I couldn't believe someone would sell or buy common rocks unless they had magical powers, but no unicorn or magic materialized when I jiggled the bag.

Going (probably driving) to a shop to buy common rocks instead of walking out the front door to collect them in the yard or street is our civilization in a nutshell.
