I quit drinking because it gave me anxiety, but I have plenty of wacky tobacky and seeds to replenish my stock. However, I'll take what I can get when the time comes.

My partner may not believe the apocalypse will descend upon us in the near future, but he'll understand the seriousness of my frantic behavior because I'm never dramatic.

I designated a friend's house in the outer suburbs the safe spot because his home backs onto a reserve with plenty of rabbits to eat, and my Jack Russell is a serial killer. It would take us hours to walk there and twenty to drive, but I'm hopeful we'll beat the rush.

You remind me to have a pre-packed bag in the car for a quick escape. I always have at least a quarter of a tank of gas, and my small Suzuki breezes through tight jams, but we'll encounter difficulties if the roads are flooded. Fortunately, I have an inflatable kayak. Haha.

It's difficult to plan for an unpredictable future, but I do my best to think of situations.

Have you read Ecotopia? It's a 1970s sci-fi about the West Coast becoming an environmentally and equitably just nation that wins independence from the US via a civil war. I recommend it.
