I hear you. It's not easy and the longer we retract from society, the harder it is to reconnect. My god, we need community and so many of us are stupidly blind to how much we need each other.

Well, I can only share some tricks I use when I get really low, but I'm not going to pretend it's easy to get out of the lows. I suffer from chronic depression and I'm on a stupid SSRI, but those seem to stop working after a while. I do the dumbest shit to trick my brain. I sing in the shower no matter what, I find one delight a day (usually a flower or pretty tree), I reduce screen time, say hello to a stranger, dedicate "nice to me" time, and go for walks around my neighborhood. A combination of these things or just one of these things a day seems to help, but everyone is so different. I just hated feeling like I could disappear into my bed and never come out again. It's a constant battle, but it gets easier if I maintain the depression. Unfortunately, those deeply sad thoughts about humanity and nature never go away, but I try to give my brain a break by mixing in some uplifting activities.

We need the social with the science to call it economics.
