I hate the NY Times and I'm not a fan of the Intercept, but I don't know who you read. The CIA isn't trustworthy, and they're still killing loads of innocent people.

I don't live in the US or read their garbage, but thank you for the referrals. I know Marcron tried to de-escalate the conflict, but this was years in the making. I'm disappointed with governments' failure to adhere to nuclear arms treaties and conflict resolution.

Maybe, there was no way to avoid war, but the international community could have done a lot more to protect Ukrainians and the world - tensions escalated for years.

Macron met with Putin to negotiate, but the other parties did not. I've heard the claim Putin isn't a man of reason and it may be true or it might not be, but governments don't have to negotiate with someone who isn't reasonable, and we die in big nuclear blast regardless.

I don't know if there's a resolution, but the current strategy is endangering the world, and governments don't seem phased. It's difficult to cheer on the war when people are dying and so much is at stake, and I don't think it's worth it, but that's me.
