I had the same experience in Spain. I moved to Argentina after Spain, and that's where I learned the truth about US foreign policy. I felt heartbroken for Argentina, betrayed, and stupid. All these intense emotions for a country. Not a person, but a country. There are many disturbing components to this.

I ended up moving to Australia, but I can't stop mourning the US.
