I grew up in Los Angeles and share the same sentiments about the ocean. My feet on the sand and waves crashing and thundering on the beach grounded me, and the Grand Canyon brings me to tears every time I see it.

We are insignificant in the grand scheme of things and waste what we have. We could have created any civilization we dreamt of, yet we constructed dystopia for ourselves and the planet.
