I enjoy discussions with people who don't agree with me, and I'm smart enough to know the value of learning from others, but as soon as someone says whataboutism, I don't think there's any point to continue. I can't help but assume they don't think for themselves and rely on their corporate spokesperson - "news anchor" for the full factual story. Feed me the news, but don't make me think!

Mark Fisher's Capitalist Realism says something like, "the media tells us how to feel - not what to think," and I realized just how spot on that line is when the US pulled out of Afghanistan.
