…plete victory over Russia is not possible. But she still believes that Putin is acting in a vacuum. It’s almost as if she refuses to believe that America has no empire, even with 800 military bases around the world. I think the nugget of her interview comes here:

The American public refuses to believe the US is an empire, or we believe exceptionalism permits the US the privilege to rule the world.
Reality is blatantly in our view, but we are a cognitive bias nation.
