I don't blame capitalism for the government's wrongdoings. They know their role is to represent us, but they choose not to. We need government, but capitalism corrupted them, and they corrupted capitalism. In a system that promotes limitless growth, the pursuit of capital, and worshiping the wealthy above all else, we're all corrupted.

Capitalism isn't just an economic system.

We can't even get reform at this point, but if we did, we'd inevitably end up right here, again. That's not to say corruption wouldn't exist in alternative structures, but it breeds in classism. As long as there's a ruling class, we won't ever have democracy.
