I disagree that we aren't hardwired to seek truth but agree that we're biased. We need to make sense of our world and establish a foundation to construct our reality, but we're relentlessly told what to believe.

National narratives, culture, marketing, and social norms subconsciously influence our thoughts, which manufacture beliefs and ideas that confuse us. It's difficult to seek truths when most information is second-hand and thinking critically is at an all-time low.

We trust experts instead of ourselves and each other.
