I agree - every system is exposed to corruption. I tend to avoid using neoliberalism in place of capitalism. When writing this, I thought to call it US Capitalism or Late-Stage Capitalism because I don't think capitalism is necessarily bad.

Honestly, I don't know wtf the US system is at this point. It reminds me of a bad relationship that should end, but we hope it will improve because the divorce would be too messy.

I'm so effing tired of the consumer existence. Do we really need to produce and consume any more junk? I think the produce-consume era ended, and we don't know what else to do. Hmm, that's probably one of the reasons financialization is prevalent.

The social and environmental impacts mentally and physically kill us, but many don't see it. There's a reason why the US is the most dysfunctional developed nation - it has the most extreme inequality, and people blame each other rather than the source. Obviously, politicians and the corporate media don't help, but we fall for it. Ugh. It's just, this is shit, and we could be happier.
