I agree, but I struggle to find a concise word to emphasize government policies favoring profits/wealth. While some academics state this is the purest form of capitalism I disagree, and I avoid neoliberalism because it's unfamiliar and vague. I know this isn't capitalism because supply and demand don't dictate the markets (our gov continuously intervenes).

However, imperialism derives from capitalism, and our government overthrows, sanctions, and intervenes in every socialist attempt to uphold capitalism globally.

Freedom is the silliest word to describe a country. I use it sarcastically, but I try to use the slogans and words the average person uses. If I wrote for academics or a knowledgable audience I'd use a more descriptive vocab, but my intention is to relate to the people.
