Honestly, I'm scared. People are angry and our government isn't doing anything to reduce the despair. We're turning on each other and finding an enemy overseas won't help.

China manufactures most of our goods, and tensions threaten the supply of essential imports. The price of goods will increase, driving more people into poverty and desperation. Populist movements may not be the worst outcome, but I expect people to turn to fascism when there are no more options.

I hope my dire outlook is wrong.
