Hmm, I'm an American living in Australia, and China didn't attempt to bully Australia. It's the other way around. The last Prime Minister sucked the shit out of Trump's ass and agreed to play the "fuck with China" game. Well, that was dumb because China and Australia benefitted from a strong trading partnership, and the only reason Australia evaded the 2008 financial crisis was because of China.
It started with PM Morrison forcing states to cancel projects with China because the US hopes to isolate China (the US did the same to Russia for the last 20 years). Australia's newly elected PM isn't great, but his party hopes to improve relations. Hence, resuming imports.
China isn't the only nation that decided not condemn Russia. The entire global south which is more than half the world's population didn't condemn Russia, and there are many reasons for this.
Anyway, why do we care about China? Our economies are a shitshow, and what do we get for competing with China? Pride? A wealthier one percent? More outsourced jobs? The world's biggest economy title doesn't mean shit to the Americans who work like dogs and still can't afford basic needs.
