Hi John! Apologies, it was Afghanistan. It’s difficult to keep track of the nations the US invaded. Here’s H. Clinton stating it, and she wasn’t the only politician. Notice when she says “there were other unintended consequences?” She’s referring to the US arming Al Queda. That’s a pretty big unintended consequence, but at least it didn’t end well for the USSR.
What’s utter nonsense is how badly our government treats us and the world, and we let them get away with it. Criticizing, questioning, and recognizing our government’s horrific policies isn’t an attack on the public, yet we take it personally. We are good, but our government represents corporate interests, and everyone suffers for it. The US is the world’s most powerful nation and no one's policing anything it does. Despite American Exceptionalism insisting our morals are superior, they aren’t. Heck, check out the people we’re killing in the Middle East with our drones right now. It’s awful, and who is going to stop the US from doing whatever it wants?
