Haha. I laughed at the grenade. Who decided to use that graphic? Let's be real. A drone would have sufficed.

I intentionally write solely about the US' contributions to the horrors because the media rarely mentions its role in instigating events or WHY. We hear one side of the story and we don't question the narrative.

I truly believe 20th century events paved the way for the rise of evil people globally, and it's so frustrating (some) we don't see the US has quite a few of them. Russia, China, the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and too many countries to list have evil leaders, but why do we (not everyone of course) believe the US should police the world? Its morals are far from angelic, and its actions benefit the owners of natural resources and corporations while Ethiopians, Americans, Argentinians, Mexicans, Afghans, etc. suffer.

Violence begets violence, and global military bases protecting "US interests" maintains the deadly capitalistic system. We take developing nations resources while the people suffer from environmental degradation and poverty, and most of us don't realize it. It just makes me so angry and sad.

I'm ok. I hurt a dumb tendon in my arm while gardening, and this is the oldest I've ever felt. Haha. It's summer here, but everything is so weird. I'm depressed, but the whole world is. Taking my dogs to the park and pretending I'm as carefree and happy as they are, helps. At least, we have pets and nature to soothe us. xoxo
