Haha. Dogs are the best. Better than humans. I get it. You buy stuff that has an emotional value. I wouldn't call you a capitalist. You're a laborer like me, but maybe you own a home. I have two degrees and can't afford the rent on my own, and I'm not even in debt.
Capitalism today is not the same as it was 10, 20, 30, or 40 years ago. We stopped being considered the economy somewhere along the way, and we lost the balance of power. Have you read the Rand study on American income? Your income, my income, our neighbors' income, and every working American loses. Crying over it isn't going to get us anywhere - I know that, but I wish more Americans knew we are on the same team and we want the same things.
I especially would like better music, but musicians have to work full-time and play music when they can. Musicians in the mid-twentieth century benefitted from the capitalism-socialism mix economic policy, and communities were a lot stronger during that era. The nineties (my generation) had a little revival, but that was the last time we saw any decent bands. The free market was let loose, and now we're dealing with a whole new kettle of capitalism.
PS: unfortunately, many lovers are forgettable. It's a damn shame.
