Exactly! When people come to work with a cold, I'm like, really? We have sick days for a reason. Why do you want to be a martyr and get everyone sick in the process - and that's just a cold. I'm not a big fussy baby, but if I can avoid feeling like crap, I'll avoid it. The people who say it's like the flu doesn't remember how shit it is to have the flu or haven't gotten the flu that knocks them out for a week - and the big C is not the effing flu.

While dying is the worst outcome, no one mentions the long-term health implications. A lot of post-Covid sufferers have lung scarring and impaired breathing. They can no longer do enjoyable yet easy tasks like walking their dog, and their overall quality of life decreases. I don't know everything, but I suspect we'll endure an even larger mental health crisis post-Covid. The effects will ripple through society in so many unimaginable ways. Ugh.

I hope you and your spouse have a cozy, healthy winter and you find some new hobbies that stimulate you. Take care xo

We need the social with the science to call it economics.
