EXACTLY. I haven't endured the conditions they're experiencing and have no place to sit on a high horse when they've been living in hell. The innate response to oppression is to fight it, and this has gone on for too long.

Ugh, I know. Has anyone other than the Israeli government pieced together the events of Oct 7? Perhaps Hamas expected retaliation but didn't anticipate a 30-day plus bomb campaign. They've captured hostages for prison exchanges previously, but slaying civilians (not settlers with guns) in mass is senseless.
It doesn't make sense unless life was so unbearable that this was an outrageous plea for a global reaction. It's heartbreaking.
