Everyone is wrong, and developing military bases and weapons leads to more conflict, but we love wars and killing people, so it makes sense. This could have been avoided, but we don't proactively work towards peace - there's too much money in wars! Supporting the never-ending military budget and weapons development will eventually lead to peace, right?

Was NATO's intervention in Libya valid? Was dropping bombs in non-NATO European countries in the 90s aggressive? Are the innocent people killed by those bombs and Russians retaliation in Ukraine the price we pay for the hope of a peaceful future? Are wars, peace? Do military developments provoke or detract conflicts? Is diplomacy a weakness?

We like to believe weapons protect us, but we build bombs to drop them, and we don't invest in peace. I promote peace, and it's hard work, but it's not impossible. Clearly, pushing the same agenda over the last century isn't working. Maybe it's time for us to try a new avenue.

And if our governments cared about democracy and life, why aren't they implementing climate change solutions, protecting us from a pandemic, providing social benefits, and improving our lives?

We need the social with the science to call it economics.
