Great essay. I wonder how often people feel peaceful and calm, but I fear most are relentlessly angry and uncomfortable. It makes me sad because I spent years in that state, and it's awful, but I'll never forget the first time I felt at ease.
Forgiveness and understanding lead to peace, and there's no better feeling. Unfortunately, we live in a frustrated, outraged era that promotes death and destruction instead of harmony, and we normalized the violence. This is no way to exist.
