Countless species have consciousness, warning themselves and each other of danger, undoubtedly generating global stress signals. We cause most of their/our distress because the extent of our consciousness is assigning value to meaninglessness.

Balanced ecosystems perform perfectly, but what is humanity’s role in them? We’re playing our part if destruction is our purpose, but we don’t know or care, and the universe isn’t something we think about.

We are as significant and insignificant as a bacterial infection, which is mostly meaningless. However, we believe we are the king bacteria, birthing everything, and Jesus said so.
