Chris Hedges is brilliant, and ya. We don't ask the important questions or evaluate what motivates Americans to kill. We never asked why the 9/11 terrorists killed innocent people and somehow, accepted the myth "they're jealous of freedom." What a load of shit.

People know things are bad, but our problems are so overwhelming we focus on addressing the symptoms instead of the fundamental issues. Or, I'm way too optimistic and everyone is still asleep. Ugh.

After 9/11, I wanted to scream in people's faces, "wake the fuck up," but somehow, refrained. Besides, I was acting very unpatriotic (eye roll).
