Australia's pandemic lockdowns disallowed me from going home, so I hadn't seen LA in three years. John, it is catastrophically tragic, yet there are Americans with more money than nations.
The Reagan neoliberal era has destroyed the country - not just LA, yet the policies persist. You've stopped believing in something better, but I'm convinced it exists.
When our government stops intervening in socialist attempts, perhaps we'll see a labor economic model because this trickle down system is significantly flawed. The rich get richer because our government redistributed labor's wealth into their rich donors' pockets. We have no bargaining power or government defending us.
This is hell. We can deny it and claim this is as good as it gets, but more people see through the BS rhetoric every year. Just look at our country. Look at the anger, divisions, delusions, polarization, and worsening problems. It's undeniable and incredibly heart breaking.
