Anyone who still believes the US gives a shit about democracy is delusional and brainwashed. The US isn't defending Ukraine, and we're too short-sided to realize ending the war ends the deaths. Somehow, we still don't understand fewer bullets and bombs result in fewer deaths.

While we'd like gun control, we're totally fine with giving a rocket launcher to every Ukrainian. Maybe murderers don't exist in Ukraine and everyone is a good guy! Unfortunately, Ukraine's future is fucked, and Russia isn't the only nation responsible.

It's hard to believe there was ever a time Americans protested wars and feared nukes, but the thousands marching in the anti-NATO protests in Madrid offer some hope.
