And WWII and the United Nations did not prevent endless conflicts. The war killed 60 million people, yet the US launched the Cold War before it was over. You'd think the absurd amount of deaths would deter governments, but the US was just getting warmed up.

It has been involved in a war throughout my life, and I'm 42! It's horrific and depressing. So many lives and resources wasted, and the human rights, democracy-defending narrative doesn't fool the younger generations, but the US no longer cares to pretend.
