Although I was ten or eleven, I remember the Gulf War well. Journalists reporting from Baghdad were nearly killed by a missile, but just as it approached their building it turned right. This was on the evening news, and all I could think about was the missile didn't kill them, but it killed others - and why?!
I understand American guilt, but governments go to war, and we don't seem to have say. One reason I hate the generational blame game is Baby Boomers protested Vietnam like mad and endured violence for doing so. None of us support war, and if we do, it's because we're lied to!
We are not our government, but we should demand an end to all the wars. Weapons and the business of killing should not be profitable! Ugh. xo
