Agreed. Gender inequality and climate change go hand in hand, but Western nations/nonprofits have significantly damaged developing nations. Advising country’s from a Western lens/perspective has arrogantly implied Western values are superior and poorer nations need rescuing.

This approach does not work for many reasons; insight into cultural traditions is one of them, but community-led initiatives embed real change. Developing nations don’t trust the US and the UK. Check out the reproduction agenda from the US and UK in India. 🤦🏼‍♀️
