A part of me wishes I could dismiss the dire comments about our future, but the reality is too real. A large portion of the population still use this coping mechanism, but it won't last long. I fear the deniers will be the catalysts for public unrest when they finally face the truth we've known for decades, but regardless, society breakdown is inevitable. It's a strangely surreal feeling and I've never felt so deeply sad. I just want to know, was the forever growth economic model and extreme wealth accumulation worth it? It's all just too devastating to ponder. How could people knowingly destroy civilization and the voiceless victims? Our environment only gave to us and we took and took. Our governments lied and deflected, and we were set up to fail. It's just so sad.
